With musical backgrounds ranging from classical to metal, and upbringings spanning the entire continental U.S., the members of Jaxon Boom come together for a sole purpose: to make music so infectious that audience members can't help but get on their feet and dance. Melding heavy guitar with gnarly bass lines, and militant drums, Jaxon Boom strive for a progressive funk-infused rock sound that sets them apart from the rest of today's bands. Drawing on diverse influences like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, AC/DC, Tower of Power, and Dave Mathews Band. Jaxon Boom's energetic live show emphasizes tight, intuitive ensemble work that sets them a notch above the rest. As they embark on their second year together, Jaxon Boom have hopes of taking their show to the Greater New England area and, eventually, a West Coast summer tour. Jaxon Boom also have benefit shows in the works because, to quote bass player Andrew Powell Conn, they "want people to be stoked to be there and realize that not everyone is this lucky. We're all very fortunate to be where we're at." |
